I am very proud to say that I am learning from my child correct academic Spanish. Being the 5th generation here I feel that the cultural exposure in my son's first grade class has empowered him to feel free and proud that is not only learning English but also Spanish.”

“I attended several special events that highlighted student achievement. this school is certainly puts their students first. I was suprised to see so many teachers working late, talking about stratigies to use to help teach and everyone was extremely friendly. There was a high parent turn out at each event i attended, and parents were actually talking and laughing with teachers. They had real realtionships to support students. The administrators blended in with staff and not until i was introduced did i realize who was an administrator. The administration truly values their staff and unlike other district schools there is a no feelings of a 'us' and 'them'. I encourage any one to visit this school.”

“Vaughn was good school several years ago...but since then their scores has gone down which classifies the school as a Program Improvement school. This situation now qualifies parents to get tutoring (outside help) paid by the school and also legally allows them to take thier school out to other performing schools. Vaughn has been failing my child for the past couple of years now and I am dissapointed with the administrators and teachers. You people are all promises!”

I am a single mom of four girls and to me it's very important to have great role models and that's what I have found at Vaughn. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for doing such a great job.”

“Vaughn Middle Scool is excellent.I would highly reccomend this school to student entering middle school. The teachers and staff are great . They keep parents aware of child progress and grades. Have small class size and a safe school. Teachers were wonderfull with my son shyness and encouaged him to go to college and achieve sucess. (Thanks Mr Salazar ) Now in the 7th grade he still looks forward in going to school, likes playing sports(soccer)in P.E.and computer class.”

“With my experience, my child's academics lack the participation, involment, dedication, and structural program. Extracurricular activities were not avaialble for low income families. Parental involvement is for the benefit of the school of avoding additional paid staff.”

“Vaughn is an excellent school with hardworking, dedicated professionals. As a teacher at Vaughn, I take pride in saying that I have been apart of this program. Our test scores have increased steadily each year since becoming a charter school. Vaughn ensures parent involvement and partcipates in a teacher assistance and review program leading to perfomance pay for its' teachers.”
