My experience with SCSOPA has been most positive. I recommend it for your child, here is why. I have been to Robert Powers presentations, and found that the cost simply put my child out of the talent industry. I went to a top notch agent in hollywood, after being told all correspondance would be thur mail, I said forget it! I took her to the local dance classes and the place was dirty and smelled.
SCOPA was affordable and clean. I didn't have to deal with the LA traffic, nor pay for parking!
My daughter loves TV. She was having trouble getting her homwork done. As a single mother I had to find a way to motivate her. She had always been interested in acting, so here was the carrot I was looking for. I layed down the law if the homework isn't done, she doesn't get to go to acting school. Her attitude changed 180. Her outlook of a career at her age was inconcivable before she started this school. Now she is being considered for acting, print, comericals and voice over (voice

We went to several other schools here in SCV and LA, this school is the best school for what it offers for the same price of the other schools. We can come as much as we want 6 days a week, we had the chance to meet my daughterâs current agent at SCSOPA. We have been here for three years attending modeling, acting classes and dance too. My daughter has a national commercial under her belt, and she is many fashion shows regularly! Not only is she working in the industry which is her dream, she also has brought up her grade point average, self esteem, confidence! This was a great investment, I wouldnât hesitate to enroll your child into this school! Go to their website and check out all the other children who have been very successful. Iâm a single mom who is very cautious and we love it here!
Research before you enroll!

I wish I had read the review first before I got suckered in and I totally agree with J.W. I enrolled my child there for acting, modeling and dance lessons a year and half ago. Modeling instructor was always late, many times class was canceled when the instructor didn't show up, he wouldn't teach class if there are less than 3 kids showed-up which is unfair when you've already paid for the sessions. They would then switch it for another class already in session. Acting classes during the week-days are few, instructors were always absent. There are no curriculums given so you do not know what your child is learning and no assessments were given during the course of the session. There are no structures. Beginners are mixed with class already in mid-session. Beginners dance class was definitely not for beginners. The school holds auditions that are pointless if you have already signed with an agent. You don't get anymore follow-up or attention as soon as they get your check. Know
