Best Haircut Yet, Superior Service
Reviewed by MikeJS on 2008-04-17T00:18:45Z

Just like most guys, getting that perfect haircut has always been a challenge for me. I have tried everything from the $200 Beverly Hills salon to the the local barbershop. However I have never been satisfied with my final product. Until I stepped in to a Mark Matthew. I got the single most best haircut yet. Their service is one I have experienced only at five star hotels - never at a place for haircuts. As long as they keep doing what they do, Mark Matthew Fine Gentlemen's Grooming Club - you have a client for life here. I look forward to experiencing their manicure/pedicure and straight razor shave as well.

Pros: Free & ample parking, private, great haircuts, superior service

Cons: having to leave

Perfect haircuts and shaves, excellent service
Reviewed by jkeljian on 2008-01-20T21:46:48Z

I have been a Mark Matthew client for a while now. I have enjoyed haircuts, shaves, manicures, pedicures, facials, and other grooming services at Mark Matthew and was very surprised to come across a non 5-star rating. I am a picky guy who is generally not easily satisfied; and Mark Matthew has been one of the few businesses who have been able to exceed my expectations on every visit. I have gotten haircuts from every staff member they have and they all do an excellent job. At this point I don?t care who cuts my hair, as long as it is a Mark Matthew employee. Their straight razor shaves and spa services are simply like none other. The service is the best I have come across in any salon/barbershop/day spa setting. I am always greeted by name, offered a drink, and taken in within five minutes of my arrival time. Their service areas are spotless and staff members very professional and friendly. Mark Matthew employees are knowledgeable, skilled, and talented; they have helped me overcome many of my grooming issues. Mark Matthew is now my one-stop-shop for all my grooming services, products and even gift giving needs. To the staff at Mark Matthew: keep doing what you do best and, if possible please open a location on the other side of the hill.

Pros: Great services, professional people, free and plenty parking

Cons: none yet

Mediocre cut and very pushy sales people
Reviewed by b0219u on 2007-12-17T11:20:39Z

I have to comment on this place because I feel it necessary. My appointment was for a haircut. When I first walked in, it was a very clean and pleasant atmosphere. The stylist who cut my hair greeted me and began what was a nice haircut. She was very chatty and talkative, but began to get more personal than I would have liked. Asking me about my personal life on my first experience with a stylist is what I call inappropriate for a place of so-called professionalism. She cut off more hair than I would have liked and I let her know. She commented that that was the current style, but I told her that the current style is the one I the client wanted. So she rinsed my hair and tried to style what was left. Then as I went to pay for my cut, the sales pressure began of asking me to sign up as a member of this and that. Asking me for my home address and home phone number, for what reason? So to sum up my experience, I must say that it is very clean and polished, but I went there for a cut and got a mediocre at best cut. Not sure if I had a bad stylist but I was not pleased.

Pros: Very clean and polished ambience

Cons: Pricy, mediocre skill, pushy sales people,
